Introduction

Completed in November 2015, the Maxis Contact Centre provides workspace with a difference. Designed with significant creative input from the client, this 60,000 sq ft office is set to offer a vibrant and creative workplace for a new breed of office workers.

The project

Spanning two and a half floors of Sunway Pinnacle, this marked the third project delivered by ISG within the building, having delivered successfully for Boral and Ericsson previously. Built over a period of 11 weeks, this project is clearly a sui generis office.

ISG was responsible for the delivery of the interior design, MEP, IT and loose furniture elements of the project while providing planning and coordination to all Maxis direct purchase vendors.

For the most part, the office area utilises an open plan concept, complemented by highly aesthetic and ergonomic task chairs. Other areas of the office also include random furniture clusters with walls decked in graffiti, providing a positive and fresh environment for employees to work in.

With a total of 9 meeting rooms in a variety of sizes accommodating numbers of between 3 and 25 people, each room is given a varying theme, reflecting the lively and upbeat culture of the business.

The centre core of the building has been converted into collaboration areas and where the dummy lift bank is located, an environment akin to the inside of a container is repleted with sliding glass doors, soft furnishing and industrial lighting, providing a creative environment for brainstorming.

4 training rooms provide a capacity of 122 people with 2 training rooms being divided by operable walls and henceforth providing an increased flexibility to expand capacity for larger training sessions comprising over 60 attendees.

2 differing breakout spaces can be found within the fit out. While one is an alternative space for collaboration and staff contemplation, the other is a more conventional cafe area that takes the center stage of the office, providing seating for 56 people and equipped with amenities such as foosball and pool tables.
