Introduction

The significant hotel upgrade for Le Meridien Hotel Kuala Lumpur was constructed over multiple phases and was the third project undertaken by ISG for the renowned hotel brand. Completed in 2016, the project involved the fit out of a new and interactive gallery area, club lounge, presidential suites and hotel guestrooms spanning 26 floors, seven room types and a total of 419 keys.

The project

ISG’s scope of works covered all interior finishes and mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure associated with bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and lift lobbies with a view to transform the guest experience of six different room types including superior, deluxe, premier, club room and two different types of premium suites. Introducing significant connectivity improvements, the new rooms offer a refreshed zest to what is the typical contemporary Le Meridien design and brand standard.

A patio restaurant and new lounge areas made a bold addition to the hotel's hospitality experience. Comprising a newly constructed and fully glazed external restaurant, bar and kitchen and an interior gallery and buffet area, ISG played a pivotal role in the creation of these stylish venues within the hotel’s real estate. As part of the overall guest experience, the Level 33 lobby was fully renovated and now includes an interactive check-in counter. Through our approach to value engineering, our team brought the project cost down by 11 million ringgit without compromising the quality of the outcome.
