Overview

Taking center stage in the exclusive Starhill Gallery, the new Dior ladies store lights up the ground floor with its impressive Nagoya façade and feature showcases. ISG was engaged for the full refurbishment of the Dior flagship store, expanding Dior’s footprint to an impressive 6,300 sqft, making it the biggest Dior store in Malaysia. Intelligently split into five eclectic sections, including shoes, bags, watches, ready to wear and the exclusive VIP section, the store entices shoppers from the moment they view the façade, and once inside provides the shopper with an “experience”, one that Dior prides themselves on, and consistently resides and is recognised with the Dior name.

The project

Working closely with Pure Creative, Dior’s Asian design partner in Hong Kong, and directly with the Dior Paris design team, over 200 shop drawings were produced to ensure detailing was carefully considered for each and every element. Equally as important, the mock up and sample approval process at the offset of the project played a critical role to ensure only the best of the best found its way into the store. Full scale façade mock ups were constructed off site long before ISG took site possession which came under stringent review by the Dior design team from Paris to ensure absolute perfection. Stone flooring was also a key element and extremely important to the brand, as such this was also reviewed off site, each slab hand-picked by Dior with the assistance of ISG.

Whilst accommodating significant design enhancement direction throughout the construction phase, the store was delivered on time to positive acclaim.
